The future of Open Networking? #3

The future of Open Networking? #3

So we extended the website from 300 members to 600 members in less than a month. Good job to the open networkers participating in the open networking community Truelads.com.

A special thank from Truelads members to Joline Angelena who referred 50 new members to the website in the last month. Thank you from all the members of truelads.com

What has happen since the last update?

1. We made a tool for extracting email from text.

The tool can be found by clicking here: Email Extractor. When using the email extractor you can simply copy a long text and paste it into a textbox. The tool will then extract all the emails found in the text and remove all duplicated emails to provide you with a simply text full of emails separated by comma, ready to be inserted into LinkedIn's "Add connections".

2. The subscription system

Each profile is now required to make a decision about whether they want to purchase subscription to the mailing list or help the community grow by sharing their referral link.

By using the referral link found on the login page each member will be able to earn one day of subscription in the mailing list.

Why did we suddenly change the website from free-to-use to a payment / referral system based website?

A lot of our members signed up and benefitted from the system but never returned or shared the concept to other open networkers. Therefore the progress on the website didn't exponentially expand. We wanted all of our members to benefit from the service and increase their network each day. Personally i wrote to all my new connections on LinkedIn, trying to inform them about my service, and what the service could do for their network on LinkedIn.

The open networkers i wrote too signed up to but not all shared the concept. Sadly the service is only as useful as the engagement from the users using the service. So i thought to myself, how can i make other members share the concept and help other open networkers increase their network while they increase their own network?

The solution was to implement a subscription based system. By doing this it would force people to share the concept to earn subscription days in the mailing list and at the same time increase their own network.

For the lazy members they could pay a small fee to stay in mailing list and still increase their network passively each day.

The members who did't want to pay the small fee could help the network of their own, but also helping other open networkers grow their network, by sharing their referral link. And the members who did't want to use time on sharing the concept could stay in the mailing list by paying the small fee of $4.
