The Future is Neurodiversity.

The Future is Neurodiversity.

I recorded a podcast early last week about my struggles with mental health that comes out on Monday... which is about to be blasted all over social media including on my #Linkedin account - where I have over 75k followers & I'm connected with all of my clients.

I've been nervous about it because my current employer/partners had no idea until just about 10 minutes ago the struggles I went through late last year... and previous struggles throughout my life regarding mental health.

This morning, I sat on a ZOOM call with over 30 colleagues all over the world - some in Dubai, Spain, Australia, and many other amazing places and we had a special presentation that focused on "neurodiversity" and the acceptance of it in the workplace.

"Neurodiversity" is defined as simply the art of being someone that thinks differently. We are the big idea people. We are the out of the box thinkers, hyper-focused, and risk-takers.

Did you know that 20-30% of the creative/tech industry talents are considered to be "neurodiverse" ? I guess I know I'm in the right field....

Steve Jobs was neurodiverse.

Albert Einstein, etc.

I didn't know this but certain companies out there are actually TARGETING to hire "neurodiverse" talent.

Anyways, IT FEELS SO GOOD to have such open & raw honesty amongst a workplace for once. And to not feel like you have to hide anything about who you truly are! Just an incredible experience all around.

Big thanks to Lucy Hobbs for facilitating the conversation this morning! I really enjoyed it & highly recommend other organizations take suit because I too believe "The Future is ND".

A great session!
