The future of manufacturing is simple and sustainable

In a world where global supply chains are becoming increasingly complex, HANZA offers a total solution for product manufacturing, combining sustainability with cost efficiency, through its MIG concept.

Contract manufacturer HANZA has recently announced new customer contracts based on its MIG (Manufacturing Solutions for Increased Growth and Earnings) concept. But what does the concept actually mean and why is it important to the customer?

“We help customers identify weaknesses in manufacturing chains and find new solutions that improve profitability and sustainability,” explains Erik Stenfors, CEO and founder of HANZA. “It's about providing our customers with a competitive advantage.

MIG involves analyzing a company's manufacturing process with the aim of creating a more profitable, robust and sustainable supply chain. The manufacturing process is simplified and the number of suppliers is reduced, for example by moving manufacturing closer to the end market and coordinating different manufacturing steps in one place.

Streamlining in Germany

A recent example of how the MIG concept works in practice is HANZA's agreement with a German company. A new and more efficient supply chain is being developed, where production is coordinated and consolidated to HANZA's manufacturing cluster in Central Europe. This results in significantly reduced manufacturing costs and increased flexibility to quickly respond to changing market demand.

"The partnership demonstrates our ability to provide significant customer value by creating a new, cost-effective and sustainable manufacturing chain,” says Erik Stenfors.

Simpler manufacturing solution in Europe

Another customer had a complex manufacturing process with over 40 suppliers spread across Europe, as well as its own final assembly hall. Through MIG analysis, HANZA created a new solution. Today, all manufacturing processes are gathered to HANZA's manufacturing cluster in the Baltics.

"We both manufacture and assemble components in the same geographical area," says Erik Stenfors. "A revolutionary simplification for the customer, a large order for HANZA and positive for the environment as many unnecessary transports have been eliminated."

Backsourcing from China to Sweden

Another example is a Canadian telecommunications company that is now benefiting from the MIG concept. Under a recently signed agreement, HANZA is moving their manufacturing from China to Sweden, in part to meet the customer's sustainability goals. The relocation not only reduces transportation emissions but also makes the supply chain more robust and flexible.

Simplicity is the future

HANZA has established itself as an innovative player in a world where simplicity, flexibility and sustainability are increasingly important to meet market needs.

"HANZA's motto is 'All you need is one', which summarizes our offer: Making manufacturing simpler and smarter," concludes Erik Stenfors.
