Live Shopping on Socials?
For those in social media, we have all been made well-aware of the success Douyin has had with its LIVE Shopping model. There was an attempt to replicate this model in the UK as logically it seemed like the next step for most social media platforms.
YouTube is building an update for it, Instagram is considering jumping in, both Facebook and TikTok made an attempt to launch it. The model was fairly simple - brands showcase a product and influencers promote it in a tele-shopping format. However, this wasn't something UK customers were ready for. When promoting products influencers are best at doing it via their own content. Initially that also took some time for consumers to adopt to but through persistence it eventually became more normalised. There a few environmental factors as to why this hasn't performed as well but in-time there's potential for a comeback.
Unfortunately at the moment, Facebook and TikTok have shutdown their attempts in the UK but we are hoping to see it being brought back in the near future. That being said, Live shopping on the web has been performing extremely well so there may be a piece to the puzzle that social media platforms as missing.
THE SAULDERSON SECTION
Here we would like to talk about some of our internal progresses and go into more detail about the talent we manage as well as any updates that have happened within the company.
???????NEW HIRES???????
At Saulderson Media, we're excited to have brought on 2 new members to the team; Arbi - who will be on as freelance - working on campaigns and Liam who we've brought on to gain some work experience influencer marketing. Arbi has a rich background working in the finance section of influencer marketing having worked with huge names such as Graham Stephan. Liam is our youngest member who we've brought on to gain some first hand experience in the workplace and learn about influencer marketing.
???????EXCLUSIVES???????
Recently, one of our own members of talent 'HalfordSucks' has signed an official partnership agreement to become co-owner of THINGenergy. We're very happy for Halford as he's applied his influence as a creator to pursue and push a brand he helped develop. As an agency it's great to see content creators move outside of the content they create and grow something of their own.
Additionally MarleyThirteen recently featured on a podcast, where he discusses his life as a creator and we highly recommend you go check that out:
Moreover - our football creator 'H1GGSY' has started work with Soccer Stories. Higgsy will now be creating pieces of content for the channel in a challenge format. His very first upload is him trying the Cristiano Ronaldo's Diet?for 24 hours. You can also check that out here:
