??AI regulation gets the green light
Can AI regulate AI? The UK Government recently published its response to the AI Regulation White Paper Consultation, announcing it will inest over £100 million to support regulators and to advance research and innovation in AI. The investment may go towards new technical tools for examining AI systems. What will Australia do?
????Google settles privacy class actions
Google has agreed to a USD 350m settlement across two securities class actions involving a data leak on its (no longer live) Google+ social media service. The issue concerned exposure of millions of user data to developers due to a software glitch that continued for around three years. No doubt D&O and cyber insurers are taking a close look at this example.

??Reproductive health InsurTech gets 1.5M funding
Spearheaded by InsurTech Gateway, first ever reproductive healthcare insurance provider Juniper has secured £1.5m in pre-seed funding. The Juniper platform covers testing and routine check-ups, medical education, community support, care navigation and medical costs. A different take on 'health' insurance!
?? InsurTech Australia annual event a success
InsurTech Australia's annual InsurTech Live conference was another success with the sold out event occupying an event bigger venue than last year. Insurers, investors, InsurTechs, brokers and more all attended. Check out the photos from one of the ecosystem's biggest collaboration events in Australia.
