The Future of Humanity: My MAD Prediction

The Future of Humanity: My MAD Prediction

Introduction

The debate over whether AI will replace human workers or not is ongoing. However, in my opinion, it's simple: only 1% of humans represent the main workforce that performs complex work in any given field. This 1% will be enhanced by AI and become 10-1000 times more efficient. The other 99% of jobs performed by humans will likely be replaced (except for jobs where humans must physically touch other humans, such as nursing, baby care, and other 18+ jobs). However, as always, the rate of innovation will skyrocket, and new jobs and activities may arise.

The Old World

The old world had two games:

  1. Capitalism: you try to get richer than the rest, and it makes you into a winner and brings you everything you want.
  2. Survival: poorer people play a different game, where they had to survive, work every day, stress, drink, fight, etc.

The New World

Because of AI, capitalism will turn into Godism. A handful of people will take control of all tech, just because anyone can make the tech now, but they have the servers, money, resources, etc. So similar to the oil in old days or even now, 10 countries own 90% of the oil, and in each country, 5 people own 90% of the oil. It will be impossible for them to lose the power; they will pass it to their children, who don't have to be smart, AI is smart, so the competition is gone.

The poor people will be lifted up. No more poverty. AI is going to make everything cheap, local, and easy to access. How? Robots, innovations in materials, seeds, food, and everything you can imagine, since AI is going to make 100 times the science progress.

The New Games

Humans will have to invent a new game. The old games are gone. New games will be totally different. And these games are going to create new needs and verticals. All the people are going to be either playing or doing the work that is generated out of these games in one way or another.

Limited Real Resources

  1. Life, water, etc. There will be games around this. Trading it, improving it, destroying it, fighting for it. However, eventually, we might run out of the scarcity on the real resources, since AI is going to help find solutions to all of it by inventing new ways of producing it, which makes it into an infinite resource, then nobody cares about it anymore.

Artificially Limited Resources

  1. Celebrities (can't be too many because one Kim Kardashian is cool, but you can't have 10; it will be boring and not cool to follow them then).
  2. Virtual (e.g., NFTs, not necessarily crypto/web3, it can be any other tech or even simply gold, diamond materials, doesn't really matter, forget about cryptsh..t, just an example here). People will invent things that have no value but have limited supply. Due to the limited number of games we can play when it comes to status, the few games left here are these. There will be NFTs with high value. AI cannot create it because if AI makes an NFT, it has no value because AI can make an infinite amount of NFTs. So it has to be limited. That means humans have to artificially make these constraints and make sure AI cannot change it. People are going to earn status by owning these NFTs. People are going to go to wars and fights for these NFTs.

Millions of New Games

  1. Where you can own the NFTs above. Money has no value, but NFTs have. It can be something else as well. But the point should be clear.

Robots

  1. There will be humanoid robots that are identical to humans and run AI in their CPUs. So they will be part of the society, and eventually, people won't be noticing the difference. These robots will be doing all physical work.

Communities

  1. Due to increasing loneliness, people are going to want to join communities and be an integral part of it. New products will be all great and the same, but the one with a better community and with a human on top, that is charismatic and loved by the members, will be winning.

If you are building SAAS today, you need to start spending 90% of your effort on building the community behind it. That might save you.

Conclusion

If you are building SAAS today, you need to start spending 90% of your effort on building the community behind it. That might save you.
