World Vegan Day is celebrated annually on November 1st to highlight the benefits of adopting a vegan lifestyle and to raise awareness about animal rights, environmental sustainability, and health. Established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, then President of The Vegan Society, the day marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the society and the coining of the term "vegan."
