Haven’t noticed it yet? Take a fine look when read your newspaper; or when you visit your Facebook profile; or if you prefer, stop at the TV commercial. You will find, the fiercest ever battle to capture the most influential consumer segment in the human history. A group of consumers that is changing all the known rules and causing great concern in all existing industries. Now you know, Millennials, which is the group of young adults who were born in the period from the earliest eighty's to the beginning of the 21st Century , are among us.
Millennials surpassed the Baby Boomers, becoming the generation with greater population in the USA. According to the US Census Bureau Millennials, are already 75.4 million, that is, without a doubt, a huge amount of buying power. Therefor is time to switch on the alarm, nobody would be unaware of this circumstance to stay and grow. Prepare yourself, prepare your business; peers and employees for this new era.
But no panic, you don’t need to rush out and create a profile on all known social media and become overnight the big blog- visitor . What is important and necessary is to assume that from now on Millennials will be the largest number of clients that we have to target and persuade. This is a generation totally different from those that preceded it and consequently their behavior, habits, likes and dislikes differ a lot from their predecessors.
Several studies have been done about Millennials and the results are truly interesting. A more detailed approach to those inquiries will surprise more than one and for sure it will help to understand better. Dissimilar factors of all kind have influenced the development of this heterogeneous group and those same factors “molded" the way they interact between them and with us. If we don’t try to comprehend them, we would never learn about them and therefore we would be compromising not only the development of our companies but the permanence of our businesses.
