As I continue to explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in governance, I find myself particularly fascinated by its capacity to enhance transparency and accountability. While India is still in the early stages of adopting AI, the possibilities are immense. In this third part of our series, let’s delve into how AI can make governance more transparent and accountable, ultimately fostering greater trust between the government and its citizens.
AI for Enhanced Transparency
Transparency is the bedrock of good governance. It ensures that government actions are open to scrutiny, thereby building trust among citizens. AI can play a crucial role in making government operations more transparent.
Open Data Platforms
AI-powered open data platforms can make government data easily accessible to the public. By analyzing and organizing vast amounts of data, AI can present information in a user-friendly manner. Citizens can access real-time data on government spending, project progress, and service delivery, empowering them to hold the government accountable.
For example, imagine an AI-driven platform that provides real-time updates on the progress of infrastructure projects. Such a platform would not only keep citizens informed but also allow them to raise concerns if projects are delayed or over-budget.
