The Future of Fundraising
Welcome to the future of fundraising.
As we see headlines of mega-donors like MacKenzie Scott and their amazing work to fund organizations, I often wonder if those outside of fundraising understand the value of building a donor pipeline.
Mega donors make an impact that few others can. However, if fundraisers aren't building relationships with a diverse set of donors who represent future major gifts, then they're stuck trying to hit a grand slam every time they're up to bat. From an operations perspective, this shift means you'll lose out on home-grown opportunities that are sustainable, predictable, and scale.
As we look into 2024 and beyond the future belongs to organizations that can secure major and planned gifts. Getting there comes down to scaling processes, evolving world-class donor experiences, and increasing bookable revenue.

The Associated Press interviewed people from across the country with a variety of life experiences about why they give, which organizations they choose to support and how they plan their giving throughout the year. (KEEP READING)
How to Convert Verbal Donor Commitments into Bookable Giving Revenue
The end of the calendar year comes with heaps of anxiety, whether it marks the fiscal year or not.
Anxiety about missing year-end fundraising goals. Anxiety about the donors still on LYBUNT and SYBUNT lists. Anxiety about how much pressure they can place on fundraisers to bring gifts in the door by 11:59 PM on December 31.
The problem isn’t necessarily the donors who have been unresponsive this year, but those who have verbally committed to gifts that haven’t arrived.
