The Future of Fundraising
Welcome to The Future of Fundraising.
Fundraising is a practice that comes in waves. From where we sit, we can all see perhaps the two largest waves on our horizon: GivingTuesday and the calendar year-end push. I do not doubt that your fundraisers will spend what may feel like countless hours over the next few weeks on these important campaigns.
My team and I often talk about this time of year and the enormous pressure that everyone in fundraising faces. As the saying goes, “There’s no rest for the weary.”
But what if you could use these campaigns to relieve some of that pressure by starting the new year ahead? At Givzey, we’ve seen amazing success from organizations making the “double ask” a standard part of all donor communications –?asking donors to commit to giving for multiple years – into these highly visible campaigns.
We’re finding that when multi-year giving asks become standard for all levels of giving, organizations are increasing revenue now, while simultaneously building pipeline.
I wish you all the best of luck in your upcoming campaigns and a happy Thanksgiving.
Here’s what’s on my radar this week:
[WEBINAR] Shifting to a Multi-Year Giving Strategy with Special Guest, RPI
Historically, many organizations have neither built nor executed multi-year giving strategies to secure giving from loyal donors for years to come. That’s because the work that goes into asking, securing, accurately booking, reminding donors, and processing gifts has been too cumbersome.
However, advancement leadership, like the leaders at RPI, are shifting to a strategy around multi-year giving now in order to exceed fundraising goals as they execute a $1 Billion capital campaign.
Join us for this special webinar with Associate Vice President For Development and Fundraising, for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Joel Kincart.

Redefining Gift Agreements: The Rise of Digital Gift Agreements
When we hear the term “gift agreement” in fundraising, we typically think of substantial gifts that require a lot of finesse and documentation to cover the specifics of the gift, how it will be used, when it will be fulfilled, and more. However, at Givzey, when we talk about gift agreements, we use the term to encompass any documentation exchanged between an organization and a donor to secure a gift.
This seemingly subtle change empowers you to standardize a formerly cumbersome process so you can scale multi-year giving in ways that grow your pipeline, increase bookable revenue, and improve retention. Keep reading to learn how Digital Gift Agreements change what we know about “gift agreements.” (KEEP READING)
