The Future of Fundraising - 6/25/23
The recent Giving USA report paints a staggering picture of the current state of philanthropic giving. Obviously, a 10% drop in overall giving will have a financial impact in the short term. But the long-term effects have potential to be a major financial disruptor: dried-up giving pipelines.
Organizations are investing resources soliciting gifts from major donors to account for the overall drop in giving. But it is being done at the expense of cultivating mid-level donors and building a major gift pipeline. We’ve found the average donor retention rate across nonprofits and higher education is about 40% which leads to lost revenue and a cloudier future.
It’s hard not to sound the alarm reading the Giving USA report. Turning your attention to retaining donors and securing multi-year commitments is one of the best ways to reverse the trends the Giving USA report found. Here at Givzey, we are helping nonprofits build their major giving pipeline and securing their financial future. Connect with us today and see what is possible for your organization.
