The Future of Fundraising 01/01/2023
Happy New Year! I'm sure many of you are using today to celebrate an amazing year and take a well-earned rest. As fundraisers, we know that the last three days of December are a flurry of activity. I love this time of year, because it forces me to objectively evaluate wins, losses, and recognize areas of improvement so the new year focuses on the challenges that matter most. Remember to take time for reflection while the lessons of 2022 are fresh in your mind.

Bill Gates made 2022′s biggest charitable donation
The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s annual list of the 10 largest charitable gifts announced by individuals or their foundations totaled nearly $9.3 billion in 2022. Two of the gifts exceeded $1 billion, and six of the eight donors (one donor made three gifts) are multibillionaires. The combined net worth of those six donors is just over $325 billion.
Top Tips to make Giving More Accessible for Volunteers
When you consider how much you gain from volunteer lifetime values and volunteer grants, not to mention the countless hours of free labor, it can be hard to think about asking for anything else from your volunteers.
