Concisely and clearly describe the company mission and the overall goals. Establish rapport and build a shared vision of remote work goals and strategy, where work succeeds based on open communication, trust, and collaboration.

Strong remote team bonds create trust. Communicate all decisions with the team to maintain mutual trust. Provide short but frequent team interactions and encourage constructive feedback, plus questions and ideas to which everyone can commit.

Effective remote team collaboration is based on “glocal” integration, which fosters Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) to provide a shared sense of purpose. Team members then connect through shared experiences, interests, and priorities. Do not accept any ignorant (indeed racist) pushback on DEIB.
