Requirements for California Notarizations Today
Even if you have been issued a digital ID, the rule in California is that you must always keep your physical ID on you. For notarizations, we are not allowed to use photocopies, digital pictures, or digital IDs for verification of your identity. Your physical ID or Passport is still required at this time.
