However, as Dr. Russell Torres (if I say he's the best professor I've had, people might call it flattery, but it's true! ??) always says, everyone is already flocking to AI, so it's wise not to put all your focus there—explore other emerging areas too! Additionally, topics like cryptocurrency and blockchain, including their security challenges and evolving markets, are gaining a lot of attention. That said, BCIS professionals are in the perfect position to bridge that gap between raw data and actionable strategy, using their understanding of both business dynamics and technical capabilities.

Another area gaining momentum is cybersecurity. With digital threats becoming more sophisticated, companies are placing an even higher premium on securing their information systems. As you may know, I am a TA for Dr. Kim in this subject, and it's genuinely a fascinating and important area.
