The future - the 2000s
The founding of the Environmental Management Division under Warwick Pearce in 1998 was a landmark initiative for the company. This busy department, which services one of the newest and fastest-evolving of the engineering disciplines, was augmented ten years later by three highly experienced additional staff members, thanks to the acquisition of Blue Environmental Consultants.
SiVEST's integrated multi-disciplinary approach was enhanced when they welcomed the EDM Electrical Engineering Division with Peter Garrett at the helm. Over 25 years' experience in the industrial, residential and commercial sectors enabled Peter and his team to provide project solutions to clients across a broad spectrum, both locally and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
During this period, SiVEST would continue to expand within South Africa, opening offices in Johannesburg, Ladysmith, Cape Town and the Eastern Cape.
Into Africa
The new century saw the company venturing into fresh frontiers as SiVEST became involved in many projects across all disciplines in Southern and Central Africa. This exciting era brought a unique set of challenges that the company continues to embrace with its customary innovation and good humour.
