Further update on Royal Mail strikes
As you probably know, Royal Mail’s 115,000+ workers are striking today (8th September) and tomorrow and it was announced yesterday that further strikes are planned to take place, on Friday?30th September and Saturday 1st October.
This is part of the ongoing dispute between Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union (CWU) on pay and conditions. For all the details the BBC have covered it here:?https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-62827928
What this means for our clients:
Royal Mail advise that plans are in place to minimise disruption, however, the reality is that?we will have no Royal Mail collections from our sites on any of the strike days and households will have limited deliveries on these days (some special delivery items and urgent communications, such as NHS letters may be delivered), meaning some disruption is inevitable.
There may also be slight mail delivery delays in the days following the strikes, due to the backlog caused by the industrial action, but we will do everything we can to make sure your campaigns are delivered with as little disruption as possible, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Do get in touch with us here, via email or give us a call if you've got any questions on how your mailings might be affected, even if we’re not posting them.
