FURTHER ALONG THE DUSTY TRAIL...
After selling 10, $4000 draw deposits for my painting “Posse Paradise”, Steve McDonough (incoming Calgary Stampede President) made the draw on December 6, 2020. One person won the painting while the other participants will direct their deposits towards another painting or commission.
The new owner of “Posse Paradise" is a legendary Calgary philanthropist, businessman and collector who has amassed a very impressive collection of paintings and sculptures “in the thousands” (and now has 10 of mine).
His motivation to purchase art at this scale is not only to support (mostly local and regional) artists financially, but to provide much needed exposure through public placements. An exciting new initiative to further this objective is the formation of the Reflections West Art rental business. A brilliant idea that provides a very affordable opportunity to enhance your environment with exceptional art. All information at: https://www.reflectionswestart.com.
After delivering “Posse Paradise” yesterday, the painting is now part of this initiative (along with 6 of my other Western and First Nations paintings): https://www.reflectionswestart.com/.../1/image/art-10257. However, I'm told the new owner might have "bigger plans" for this painting.
So if you would like the opportunity to possibly hang out with the posse please contact Reflections West Art.
