The Funny Word called “Later” in Hindi “Baadmei”

I know you have dreams, that you would love to be fulfilled; however, are you at the risk of never getting to live out those dreams? The statistics show more than 98 percent of us actually fail and give up on goals and dreams when challenged. Pressure to get back in line and take the average path makes us do things; we never wanted.

The “Dream Killer” called ‘Procrastination’ ('Baadmei') is a habit that is believed to be in existence as long as Humans have lived, and it has been written about in multiple historical documents, with plenty of suggestions and advice against it. We have as an option, on one side, our ‘Dreams’ and ‘Goals’, and on the other side, ‘Procrastination’.

As per the common data we have, procrastination has and is and will always stand a chance to win. All of us begin on the path of success, but somewhere on the way, we give up and stop chasing greatness for a number of reasons. The ones who have made it, have left us some clues to understand our fall better and it’s usually the things between the lines of what they say.

Success never explains why, therefore when people who’ve made it talk, read-only things between the lines, it’s mostly they are not saying, only showing. So you can either read a 300 to 400-page book to learn, or you can spend another 99 seconds and read this till the end, to understand what you can do, to get back into the game. Who knows, spending these 99 seconds can be a life-changing decision you’ve ever made, so don’t give up on yourself so easily and read on.

The most common advice given against the tomorrow-land is to take action, they say it plays a vital role in getting somewhere. If we sit at the table and only dream about going somewhere, it won't really take us there, we must take action like the one you’ve just taken to read, in order to reach the destination, however along with taking action, there are three main reasons why a person usually procrastinates.

1. Laziness

Laziness as we know, it is the beautiful ‘Ability’ or a ‘Talent’ in an individual, to do nothing. If you must know, a great philosopher once defined nothing as "that which Rocks dream about". The only way to overcome this is to take action and get disciplined. It is still better to get disciplined than do something you don’t like, therefore I say, do not be lazy, it just cost too much.

The bounty full of distraction we face daily which breeds doing nothing never really ends. To Win and be void of Shame, you just have to keep that thing aside, and Get up and get disciplined. The only thing between you and the success you always wanted is your choice to not take action. Choose to take action and you will begin to win, just one step at a time.

2. Fear of Failure

Fear is a funny thing, if you let it, it will always show you an Elephant size Ant, but really, there is nothing there. Many have fallen for this, and have given up on their dreams. It’s not just fear that is an issue, it is what the failure sometimes brings, which is shame, humiliation, and disappointment, especially about ourselves, which only adds to the low confidence and opinion we have developed about ourselves over time, due to constant failures and mishaps in the past. It’s one of the main causes of fear and it freezes our God-given ability to take action.

It is very important to simply shut up and get going, Making noises about what you are doing only punctures the gases that are supposed to act like fuel in your mind. Making noises and telling everyone gets you exposed to a lot of things including pressure to make it right, as many are watching. Failure will bring you shame and humiliation among many, therefore keep it mum, keep the focus tight and keep working. If you manage to keep it silent, you will not be afraid of “Fear of Failures”.

3. Fear of Success

Success is desired by many, however, very few are actually prepared for it. Success is like an inflated balloon that you sit on, which is easily influenced by the waves around; and you never know where the balloon will take you, and when it might burst, causing massive disappointment and shame all over again. The fear of staying successful and managing the heat that comes with it is actually the pain area, that keeps people from trying.

The Billionaires we assume would be the happiest people around, right? At least that’s the common notion around, isn’t it, and they must have no fear then, really? Some of the Billionaires were asked the question of their daily fears, and the answer was an unexpected one, they whispered, “Somehow with luck and hard work we got here, however staying here, and maintaining this title of ‘Billionaire’ is the greatest Fear we have” losing it will cost us much, then the actual wealth.

Success is the cake that everybody wants, but a lot of them are afraid to have it, as very few are actually prepared for it; therefore they agree to continue to live under the rug, hugging their fear and adjusting to the life they have received.?

Conclusion

One of the great ways to change things around is developing a routine; it can help massively in achieving your dreams and goals. As a tryout over the next 40 days, begin a discipline and a routine, that best suit the goals that you want to achieve.

Who knows, post 40 days, you might wonder, why in the world were like who you were. People who have made it, and are living out their dreams, started it by building a productive routine that helped them achieve their goals.

Getting ready for success and not giving up, mixed with the continuous ability to take action, is actually a recipe for Greatness. Violently marching against Fear is the only way to overcome fear. It neutralizes the fear in your mind, and you will end up proving to yourself, that it can be done, and more importantly, “You can do it”.

Don’t wait, don’t ignore, just do it, and do it immediately now.

Have a Blessed Life.
