A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Polls

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Polls

As we near Election Day in about a month it is interesting to see how much both candidates have moved away from their most extreme positions to more middle positions. In fact they both agree on the major issues facing our country but have differing ideas about solutions. Also interesting that the Republicans, once the party of the upper classes is now catering t the working folks and the democrats have taken the upper middle class educated space.

Our research team at Strategas recently shared some very interesting statistics and analysis comparing how our economy has done with either party in control of the White House and a combination of split congress or full control of all three of the four elements of government. The conclusion is that it really doesn't matter at all. If you would like to see the presentation send me a note requesting.

Several recent reports that over $5 billion is being spent to sway voters one way or the other. Add into that money spent click bait presentations on social media to get investors to buy something or sell something because someone is predicting the collapse of the dollar, the equity markets, real estate market etc. In the short term markets move to reflect short term concerns but over the past 100 plus years they have recovered and moved to new highs.

Building and protecting family wealth require patience.. lots of it. Ignore the hustlers and stay the course that you have laid out with your financial advisor.

This the biggest, strongest, and, and best economy in the world and will continue to be for generations to come.

Be sure to vote.

Cheers
