The Funny Thing About Failure

I recognize and accept that I will fail at something every single day. A deadline I was supposed to meet. Somebody I couldn’t get back to quickly enough. Being completely present while eating lunch. You name it.

But I kind of welcome it now because it’s all a part of my story. A story unlike anyone else’s. A story that is all my own - made specifically for me. So I just take ownership of it now, if it’s gonna be only mine for the taking anyway.

Every obstacle we face brings with it an equally critical opportunity. Blue pill or red pill. A choice. And every time we overcome a failure, our success story becomes more interesting. When we tell that part of our story, we connect with people who’ve come up against similar struggles. We relate. We inspire. We grow.

Without failure, the lessons we learn wouldn’t stick. It’s life’s greatest teacher. It never discriminates and no one is exempt. So don’t trip when you fail at that thing today.??Recognize it for what it is. Learn from it. Move forward. Do better next time. And don’t forget to appreciate how much more interesting your story just became when you surpass it.
