FunnelTV: break the loop and change the rules.
Most probably, Marketers and some Travel tech companies, but also consultants, they will hate me for what they will read soon :)
What I’m writing is about my points of view that, logically, comes out spontaneously and from a period of reflection that matures day by day for some time now. I have been working in this industry for about 20 years, I started as a receptionist and then I become a consultant and seller in the web marketing and revenue management space, and continuing, to date, founding a personal and visionary project like FunnelTV. So I hope that in these years I have learned something of this industry.
Why and how was FunnelTV born? Well, I could say that the answer is simple, at least for me. Everything comes from the extremely boring content and poor creativity that the vast majority of companies out there use for their communication strategies, this made me clearly understand what were the directions to "not" follow and be influenced by.
Yes, that's right, boring content, lacking in creativity and completely flat. I don't know about you, but I'm bored of reading pathetic "I said this" or "I did that" and, even worse, I'm not counting on how many companies write that they are “top market leaders”, the best in boosting revenue, to increase traffic and direct sales and on top of that they also want to teach us how to communicate ... when not even on their website they were able to do so.
I’m step by step getting away from various company that share certain blog posts on Linkedin, I'm tired of constantly seeing "selfies" that everyone initially criticized, especially those who used a lot Linkedin, but who now do nothing than posting selfies showing their brunch or their nice self-congratulatory conference speech. Speech that always tell the same story to deaf people.
I told you dear marketer, some of you will have stopped at the fourth or fifth line of this article, but for those who are continuing to read I would like, with this provocation, to raise awareness (myself included) of all of us in search of the right direction to take, on how to improve the quality of our communication and with which we relate to the market every day, but even more to the search for new challenges and fresh ideas that can, in some way, make us unique and “fascinating”.
I love this term "fascinated". Do you know why I talk about "Fascinating"? Because it is what is lacking in marketing in the field of travel tech and hospitaity. Damn the cinema has been running for decades, everyone looks at it, everyone loves it, we are all inspired by it ... and at the end no one (or just a few) have been able to draw personal inspiration from it and to adopt for their marketing strategy?
Do you understand that I'm talking about the most popular tube in the world right?
That's why 'I created FunnelTV, to break the loop, to change the rules of the game and transform this industry into a better and fascinating story.
I didn't invent the live stream, I wasn't even the first to use it!
Imagine having a good story, really feeling it. What is a marketer used to do today? He takes a doc word, puts the story down, then passes it to a professional ghost writer who in turn writes and rewrites it up to, till changing the connotations and consequently the initial concepts, and then pass it on to the designer with his beautiful predefined templates make it up, forgetting that, however, “the true readers” they used to read from real pages made of paper and values, thus ignoring the primordial aspects of the senses: the touch and scent of books. And what do they do in all that? They slap in forms and call to actions to capture leads? Dear marketers, maybe you don't know....but you are consumers too ;)
I'm sorry, but if this is the marketing you want to build, I call myself out!
But today I have a good story to tell you instead. I opened my live stream channel and I broadcast on social networks. A network audience strictly related to the story I want to tell. Result? From a day to another, the same users who were bombarded with call to action and newsletters sitting and stunned, now they interact and become part of the show, they feel now protagonists!
Dear reader, now would you like to share your point of view? Say it now, strictly live and no filters, respecting everyone's thoughts and with professionalism. Jump into the story, if you choose to limit yourself and watch, it's okay, but it will have been your choice, not my overtax.
The live stream is a direction that meets the will of the market, their desire to participate and interact, no longer just sitting and listening. A true and fascinating challenging route.
PS: For marketers who hated me at the first lines but who managed to read, anyway, to the end, I say: thanks ;)
