Fundraising for three mental health care homes in Zimbabwe

Tirivanhu Home in Ruwa

Tariro Home in Glen View

Beatrice Road,  in Harare.

We know that many people living with mental illness in Zimbabwe are most affected by economic challenges, trauma, domestic violence and disturbing levels of poverty. Their life expectancy rate is much lower than the larger population. They are also highly exposed to infectious diseases such as COVID-19

We are raising money to support three community based care homes in Zimbabwe. Total number of residence is 50, with a few staff. Most residence are vulnerable many are recovering from schizophrenia, bi-polar effective disorder, depression, anxiety, gender violence, epilepsy, HIV, substance misuse and other disabilities.

They have with little access to food and clean water. They need to buy meal meal, rice, vegetables, sugar, beam, salt, cooking oil and soap to ensure good hygiene at this time of COVID-19

We are have been working with them closely, last time we raised money for them they bought basic items that helped them greatly. We are appealing for you to find it in your hearts to give. Every little helps.

Once groceries are bought we usually produce receipts to our donors and evidence that your money is directly impacting those in need. As a Zimbabwean diaspora group, we recognize the value of good governance and public health impact, we seek to support those most in need and those who are most vulnerable because we care.

You may donate straight to our Ecocash number or give directly to Tafadza Kadje, Global Health Policy who is leading in the project or inbox me directly.

Thank you kindly, we are very grateful
