Funding for Primrose
I think it needs to happen soon. Either a Kickstarter or private seed funding of some kind.
In my head, it feels like I have a lot to do first:
- A bigger demo, much more closer to the "spatial programming environment" I've been imagining. The current demo is a shade of what I want, and it would be a lot easier to explain the concept by showing instead of telling.
- Tutorials and documentation. Tutorials would be easy. Documentation, I haven't figured out yet. I tried setting up an auto-documentation-generator the other day and it failed to produce anything that I expected, and this was a popular tool, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do here.
- Brand new server setup. My current server is expensive and slow. I'm really lost here. My server knowledge was never that good, and is outdated anyway. I think I just need a really basic Azure setup (of which I have free credits, but I don't know if they are actually worth anything), but I don't know what I'm doing here. I would rather have someone join the project who knew these things, rather than me taking time out of the overall roadmap to figure it out and probably get it wrong for a long time.
- A few live, in-person tutorial sessions here in DC. I think it would be best way to expose issues and set the greater road map. I think I could get the class sessions going through DCVR easily enough.
But I don't know if that makes sense, or if what I have now is good enough to go hunting for dollars to work on this list.
