For Yourself

How much responsibility do you take?

If we're talking about?something like driving a car, we could argue that you are mostly responsible, but not entirely.

You're responsible for getting yourself and your family from A to B, without crashing. However...

...what if that crash comes from another driver who was outside of your control. You may be the safest driver ever, but the risk is never zero.

That's why we have air bags, seat belts and all kinds of safety features. I'm sure you will feel some responsibility for it and therefore guilt.

What if we make this everyday life?

You do your best to keep your family happy and healthy as much as possible, you feed them good food, you try get them to go to sport and you tell them the rules to follow.

But what about the uncontrollable?

What safety features do you have that protects them?

Mindfulness techniques for stressful situations, quality communication practice, healthy exercise habits for a strong body... Is that your responsibility too...?

Teach

Last week I wrote and article about motivating teenagers. It's for parents and educators to help provide a framework of how to get more out their teen. It's called 'The Ultimate Guide to Boosting Teenager Motivation: Unleashing their Full Potential'.

For those of you who don't want to read the whole thing, here's a snippet;

"One significant factor is the teenage brain’s development. The prefrontal cortex, responsible for decision-making and self-control, is still developing during adolescence. This can make it challenging for teenagers to stay motivated and focused on long-term goals. Taking this into account, it is essential to break down goals into smaller, manageable tasks that provide immediate gratification."

This is why we design our 90 mentorship programs into 3 different parts, to ensure they are constantly winning and managing tasks along the way.
