FUN

In a conventional sense 2020 and lockdown seemed to strip the joy, amusement and fun for the year. Covid definitely made it difficult. Holidays, events, parties and social gatherings all CANCELLED.

But we coped, we laughed, we conquered. ?? that’s why this category will be a good one to enter. Throughout lockdown we found new ways to keep ourselves entertained. What does fun in 2020 look like to you? For inspiration, you could look at Derek Ridgers or Dennis Morris’s photos of Bob Marley. I also love the work of Walter Looss and The Drum Thing series by Deidre O'Callaghan is ace. This picture I made for The Drum Magazine last year is of the amazing Elizabeth Gibson.

But of course, it is up to you and all I want you to do is get out there shooting. This isn’t about being the best or most professional photographer. It’s not about quality of the image. It’s about the photograph and how you shoot it.
