Fun little project
"Kathy, can we get an ad for Fashion Week Rochester for The Center for Youth Look Book?" Really? It was my first Fashion Week ad, and for Foodlink—so cool! When I sent the first rendition on the right to my supervisor, his response was, "OMG!" Made me chuckle! The photography isn't quite inline with our style guide. You just have to break the rules sometimes—especially when the situation is just right.
Generating images is proving to be a very valuable tool at Foodlink (the regional food bank located in Rochester, NY serving 10 counties in the Finger Lakes Region) where every dollar equals three meals. These images were created in Adobe Photoshop with their "generate" feature—AI. It takes scores of tries and some patience to get something decent.
The ad on the right is the one that didn't get approved. It is a combination of a generated model (with his lettuce jacket—snort!) combined with our "tiles"—design elements from our brand. We went through many rounds of models, some controversial, until we settled on this one. The ad on the left was the final pick—safe. This was so fun!
