????♀??? Fun and games

Don’t worry – this one isn’t actually about sport. ?

The story of us

Our group chat has been all about how the spectacle of US politics is engaging a fresh audience, and waiting to see how brands will be showing up at these Olympic Games on TikTok. (And yes, some elder millennials needing to search: what is brat?) If you’re not the least bit interested in politics, sport or social media, but find logistics compelling and/or have enjoyed The Bear, you can still get into the spirit by learning about the logistics of feeding all of the athletes. The Olympic committee’s Director for Sustainability pledged to showcase French food in 13 million meals and snacks that are sourced, produced and consumed in a responsible way.

The story of our industry

Last week we went to the movies! A group of us attended a Cannes Lion report-back hosted by The Creative Circle, where SA judges of the awards unpacked the top trends, insights and their favourites of this year’s work. The takeouts: AI works best if you don’t know it’s there; humans really love a bit of humour; and you don’t need to have a big budget if your work is grounded in a crazy/brave/brilliant idea. All of this is good news for marketers. ?

See more winners.

If you know what I mean.
