Fun Facts on Color And It's Meanings

The idea that we choose the colors that we like is completely true,

but it also tells the world how you want to be viewed. Almost no one

wears the same colors every day, but your favorite color does give

the world a thumbnail view of your personality. For example,

if you wear red you are saying that you are bold, intense, with a

flair for the dramatic. Red also produces a distinct advantage in contact

sports. If you wear dark blue you are a solid citizen, who tells it like

it is and has no time for the trivial. If you wear orange you are friendly, open and

compassionate. If purple is your color you are bright, intuitive, able to grasp

movie subplots immediately and have a flair for creativity. Purple is

also known as the Genius color and historically the color of wealth/royalty

due to the efforts needed to produce it. Brown is down to earth, practical and

very sensible. Historically grey was the peasant color because that was the color

of undyed fabrics. Today it is thought of as the Congressional/Executive leadership

color as it is the most popular color for menswear suits. Pink is associated with sweet

because it was the color that bakers historically used in their boxes and that association

continues to this day. However in France little girls are dressed in blue as an homage to the

Virgin Mary while infant boys wear pink or white.
