I’ve been having great fun lately. Currently working with a client where there are four employees and they’re about to take on the fifth.
That starts to change the landscape. More regulations come into effect at five employees and the business is really starting to grow.
So why am I having fun? Well the variety of subjects I’m covering with the Owner and Manager makes it never a dull moment and keeps it from going stale.
We are covering:
· Employee Engagement through Roles and responsibilities, performance management, reward and recognition and building the right culture
· Visual Management
· A Manager’s and employee’s responsibility for health and safety and how to carry out risk assessments
· Drawing up a business continuity plan
· Mapping the current work processes to identify waste and potential areas for improvement.
· Exploring the use of problem-solving in the workplace.
It works really well as we have monthly sessions where we review the previous month to reinforce lessons and pick up any development work before starting the next topic.
The monthly sessions mean we build up a working relationship and for both sides are far more rewarding as give lots of support. And in between times, the monthly package gives support through phone calls if the owner or Managers want some advice or pointing in the right direction.
The buzz I feel and knowing I am making the difference is just the biggest motivator for me and seeing the pressure and overwhelm fade from the owner, is second to none.
