At the core of Alluviance, we help people fall in love with learning how to master their craft. One of the best tools we have for this is to nurture a culture of continuous learning, and I'm about to let you in on a big and very fun secret about learning.
If you want to love the path of mastery and learning, you have to make it FUN!
Sales can be a high-stakes, high-pressure environment filled with lots of challenge, stress, and burnout. We put even more pressure on ourselves with our desire to achieve and be a top performer. This can work in direct contrast to our goal of mastering the craft of sales. Today, I'm inviting you to try something a little different: Fun-Driven Mastery.
Fun-Driven Mastery makes the entire process of personal development more enjoyable by integrating fun and play throughout. Mastery isn't showing up once in a while or when it's convenient. Mastery is consistently doing the deep work. It's about making your bed at a hotel on the morning when you are checking out, remember ?
Beyond the enjoyment factor (as if that wasn't enough), there's actual science that shows that learning becomes much more effective when there's fun and play involved. As a simple example of this, a friend recently share his Duolingo streak of 1550 days straight of learning Spanish. That's over 4 years of not missing a daily lesson! Gamification works.
When we host our 3-day immersive experiences , I can assure you - we bring the fun! We do this of course, because we are all hard-wired to like fun and play, but also because this produces the best results. It's what gets people to show up rain or shine on their own personal paths to mastery.
To nurture a culture of continuous learning within your team or even within yourself, fun is a must.
Take a moment today to reflect on your own learning journey. How can you incorporate more fun and play into your daily routine? Remember, when the path to mastery is filled with fun, you will both outperform your peers and enjoy the ride!
