Fully Funded Lean & Manufacturing Management Training

Part of my role at InstepUK is to raise awareness of the Skills for Growth - Manufacturing Programme which is being delivered exclusively to manufacturers within Greater Manchester. I wanted to include the short video above where Tony and Paul from Snuggledown in Wigan talk honestly about their experiences with the training.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority have introduced funding specifically for manufacturing organisations who have a site(s) based within the boundaries of the GM region.?Through their research GMCA identified where key skills gaps are in technical and operational roles in manufacturing and engineering and where skills support is needed.?

As a result, continuous improvement and management were highlighted as skills needs, particularly the skills organisations need their employees to have to help sustain operational excellence, productivity and efficiency of the business operations.?

Instep UK are the appointed partner of GMCA to give access to this funding and look at how this specific programme of support can be integrated.

Instep are delivering two unique programmes focusing on the needs of manufacturing businesses in Greater Manchester. ?The programmes have been created to align with feedback from businesses in the region in relation to their skills needs.? Our programmes are short courses, delivered via a blended learning model.

Manufacturing Management (CMI Accredited and Non-Accredited options available)

Our Manufacturing Management Programme is aimed at supporting new or aspiring managers to focus on continuous improvement and sustainable development in workforce operations. During the course of their programme individuals will cover a wide range of modules that encourage and empower them as individuals to drive high performing teams back in their own workplace including Continuous Improvement, Effective Communication. High Performing Teams and Problem Solving Techniques.

Our modules are delivered using a blended learning model, which consist of e-learning, tutor-led sessions and self-reflective activities.

We have had several positive reports from our employer partners that our training is helping them to make improvements in the workplace, which will increase productivity and reduce waste. Equally participants are reporting that as a direct result of developing their skills that they have been able to take on additional responsibilities too.

Local businesses looking to integrate training around their day-to-day operations and the pressures of the sector can take advantage of the opportunity to host an exclusive cohort.
