OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

THEME: THE FULLNESS OF TIME.

 MEMORY VERSE: 

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

BIBLE READING:  Acts 2:1-4

1? And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2? And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of A Rushing Mighty Wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3? And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4? And they were all filled with The Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as The Spirit gave them Utterance.

MESSAGE:

A.   As Jesus promised, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, God The Holy Spirit duly came upon His Disciples. 

1? In like manner, Elizabeth, despite the delay with bearing the fruit of the womb, conceived and gave birth to John The Baptist in the fullness of God's time (Luke 1:11-16). 

2? These events confirm that Our God is a God of times and seasons as it is written in Daniel 2:20-21. 

3? In Daniel 2:20-21 “Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be The Name of God forever and ever, For Wisdom and Might are His.

4? And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings;

5? He gives Wisdom to The wise

And knowledge to those who have understanding.

6? The Almighty God moves very fast whenever He wants to do something. 

7? If it appears that He is slow in taking any action, you can be sure that it is because the set time has not fully come. 

8? God is not a slow worker at all. As we see in Genesis 1, He created the entire universe in just six days.

B.  Delay however, may not always be a good thing. 

1? In 1 Samuel 17:51, we see how God helped David to move quickly. 

2? Had David delayed in separating the head of Goliath from his body after stoning him to the ground, things could have ended differently.

3? 1 Samuel 1 7:5' 1 says:

"Therefore, David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. 

4? And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled."

C.   One characteristic of God's fullness of time is its sudden arrival. 

1? We see this in The Holy Ghost Baptism experience in Acts 2:1-2. 

2? Similarly, it took God just one day to kick away famine from Samaria as we see in 2 Kings 7:1-18. 

3? When God moved, food became surplus in the land where people had started killing their own children for food (2Kings 6:24-29). 

4? In 2 Kings 6:24-29

Syria Besieges Samaria in Famine.

5? And it happened after this that Ben-Hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria. 

6? And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

7? Then, as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!”

And he said, “If The LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?” 

8? Then the king said to her, “What is troubling you?”

And she answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’ So we boiled my son, and ate him. And I said to her on the next day, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him’; but she has hidden her son.”

D.   You must have confidence in God that He is able to do whatever you desire. 

1? According to Hebrews 10:35-36, that is the only way you can receive the promise. 

2? Hebrews 10:35-36 Says

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 

3? For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done The Will of God, you may receive the promise:

4? As you patiently wait for God's time, you will encounter God and receive sudden breakthrough this season. 

5? Your day of celebration will come fully, in The Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!

PRAYER POINT:

Father, Please let my breakthrough come suddenly, such that it would shock and destabilize my enemies, in The Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
