Full stack developers are common, how about full stack SDETs?
The full stack developer should have the knowledge and skills for developing at all application layers:
FRONT END development
- HTML
- CSS
- Javascript
BACK END development
- Programming languages (Java, C#, etc)
AZURE development
- Databases
- Version control
- Deployment and hosting
- Third-party APIs/services
An sdet is a developer as well, so what is his stack?
The full stack SDET should have the knowledge and skills for automating all types of applications.
- Testing
FRONT END
- HTML
- CSS
- Javascript
- Programming languages (Java, C#, Python)
AUTOMATION FRAMEWORKS
- UI test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, WebDriverIO, Cypress, etc)
- Windows apps test automation frameworks (Ranorex, UFT, etc)
- API test automation (Rest Assured, Rest Sharp, SOAP UI, Postman, etc)
- Databases
- Version control
- CI/CD (Jenkins, Teamcity)
- Azure / AWS
- Third-party APIs
Does this make sense?
Is a full stack SDET a reasonable concept?
