Full Stack Developer - TX State Agency

Peak Performers is a nonprofit recruiting firm specializing in contract roles with state of Texas government agencies. We've partnered with a Texas State Agency to recruit for a Full Stack Developer in Austin, TX.

Your role:

You will perform highly advanced software development work as part of an agile team working under the direction and guidance of Application Services management. You must have strong hands-on technical experience with React.js development and proven success designing, developing, and implementing full stack web applications in a large organization. The primary goal of the worker will be to deliver well-designed, documented, and tested modern software applications that fully meet customer requirements.

Your tasks:

• Serve as a trusted expert advisor to the state agency you will be working at
• Participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development and code review
• Performing extensive code reviews and analysis
• Writing reports on code analysis to determine if industry standards and best practices are being followed
• Provide analysis to address any shortcomings
• Providing guidance and knowledge sharing to existing development staff

You have 8 years of experience:

• Developing full stack web applications
• With HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (with at least 3 years spent developing in HTML5, CSS3, and ECMAScript 6)
• With SQL (relational databases), key-value datastore, and document stores
• With React.js and Node.js
• Writing secure RESTful APIs
• With code reviews and in-depth code analysis
• With highly complex application security requirements
• With WCAG 2.0 Standards, 508 Compliance/Web Accessibility
• With Jest and Selenium
• With Webpack and Git, Bitbucket
• Developing/deploying software with a CI/CD pipeline including build automation/continuous integrations, test automation, and deployment automation
• With Redux, Java, Kubernetes & Docker
• Designing and building Microservices
• With Agile teams that have interactively and incrementally delivered software while practicing code review
• With coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior level software developers and other personnel as required
• With Spring Boot, Enzyme 3.0+, NoSQL datastores and message brokers

Project term: April 19, 2021 Through August 31,2021 – option to extend

Compensation: $93.00/hr (W2)

Location: 17th Street Austin, TX 78711 (Remote - Onsite work may be required from time to time)
