This week, TikTok starts schooling, Instagram makes reels even easier for us to use and, who’s ready for the hot new hairstyles of summer 2022?! Keep scrolling for the hottest tea…
- 30 days of content prompts - As we all know very well, coming up with fresh, exciting content every day can sometimes be draining and it doesn’t take long before we hit a creativity block. Well, here’s something that will hopefully help! Have a read through 30 days of content prompts and watch those content calendars fly by! (If only it was that easy!!)
- TikTok’s Follow Me education series - TikTok is all about giving a platform for small businesses and creators and now they’re taking it one step further. The app is launching a new initiative called ‘Follow Me’ to help small businesses learn how to maximise their success on the platform. This is a six week program designed to strengthen your marketing skills and make the most of the platform. Will you be taking notes?
- Twitter launches testing of CoTweets - As suggested in the name, Twitter’s new CoTweet feature allows users to invite another Twitter user to contribute to a single tweet. We can already see this being useful for brand collaborations or work with influencers. Or just so you can add on to your mates’ tweets. Will you be co-tweeting?
- Instagram expands access to reel templates - Instagram has, once again, updated reel templates, which can be a massive help if you’re looking to start posting reels. These new templates allow you to create videos based on popular formats and what’s working for others. Could this push reels to become even more popular, or will they become more and more repetitive and push users away??
- TikTok are looking at age restrictions for livestream viewers - TikTok is testing a feature where creators who livestream have the option to put an 18+ age limit on their content 8. This isn’t so adult content can be shared, but rather so that the younger audience on the app doesn’t come across content that is tailored to an older audience. Smart? We think so!?
- Meta publishes new video planning guide - Short form videos are rising, and rising faster than ever before. All platforms are doing their best to make videos the forefront of their app, and Meta are here to help. Their guide helps you to decipher what types of videos are best for your campaigns, depending on your goals. Have a read through and figure out what videos you want to create. Lights, camera, action!?
- A new helmet has hit the market - This one’s quite niche… calling all cyclists! A new helmet has been developed, with an airbag built in. Head injuries account for half of cyclist deaths and Bicycle Safety says that there is a lot of room for improvement, hence the built in airbag. Will this be something you’re adding to your basket?
- Summer styles are here - Call the salon, we’ve got the hot colours for summer 2022! From cute copper cuts to bold blonde looks, hair is a huge part of everyone’s look. Take a look at what styles are in and we’ll save you a chair at the salon! ;)
- Jacques quits the villa - They were the fav couple for weeks, but then he had to go and mess it all up! Jacques and Paige seemed like they couldn’t be any happier, but a recent event in Casa Amor led them down a very rocky road, and we’re not sure if they’re making it out the other side. And now with Jaques revealing that he’s going home, Paige is up for grabs. We all know Mr Collard won’t be able to help himself! What do you think Paige is going to do? And what couple are you rooting for? (Ekinday for the win!!)
