Full of Enthusiasm at Fullhurst!

Fantastic event at Fullhurst Community College today. Supported by 4 wonderful year 10 helpers such as Oliva and Jayden seen here on the left, 178 students in year 11 were supported to do one-to-one mock interviews with some valuable feedback to support them with their future college or job applications.

The 24 volunteers from local businesses including Walkers and Son, Nelsons Solicitors, Spearing Waite, Leicester City Council, Sytner, Nylacast, Samworths Sausage Co and Checkprint offered a great range of professions from which the students could learn their valuable interview skills.

Students with individual needs were supported with great care by the volunteers and I was completely overwhelmed by the level of support received by our businesses, many of whom stepped in at the last minute to support the event.

Feedback from the students was amazing, with 100% of the students finding the activity helpful, 100% feeling more confident about doing interviews and 100% feeling that their interviewer gave good advice.

"She was kind and lovely to talk to. She also gave helpful comments on what I could say and boosted my confidence."
