Full energy days
People to Celebrate
This has been a week of 2 x Very Full and Long days in #london, with a LOT of people - other humans also navigating trains and tubes to several scheduled deeply purposeful meetings, oh AND a conference. A lot, in a week, when, a week is predominately spent a few paces from my kitchen!
There are very many people to celebrate this week who each in their own right have given me energy and enthusiasm for our work at DOT PROJECT. Someone so deeply supportive of our journey has been Abi Handley from Outlandish, a tech #cooperative we had admired at the outset in terms of leading a different way of working. Our admiration for their work inspired our journey to becoming a #cooperative, and the open arms of CoTech - a network of cooperative across the #tech and #digital sector - have been a deep support over the years.
Time with Abi face to face this week reminded me of this journey we've navigated over recent years, the challenges of running a #cooperative, but the deeply rewarding aspects of being one. We've been working together on a project which highlighted our differences and uniqueness as organisations, but how our #cooperativeprinciples and values also deeply connect us. Abi has been a huge fan and supporter of DOT PROJECT, sharing knowledge, skills and always time. A shout out to you, Abi - thank you ??
Weekly reflection
As I sit on another late train back home I'm reflecting on the absolute extreme of high energy in the buzz and thick of it all in London, to the subsequent exhaustion from being back in a big city, the navigation and travel, and the physical energy spent in the embodiment of being face to face.
We've been attending the?Charity Digital Be More Digital Conference?today, so wonderful to see familiar faces, those I work with, those we've supported but importantly the serendipity of conversation with other like minded folk.

Helen did an amazing job sharing our DOT PROJECT insights on the Digital Strategy panel, and it has generally been fascinating to spend the day listening to charity journeys through the last couple of years. In particular, a superbly eloquent insight on the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) journey for the The Prince's Trust, and the digital fundraising journey for Mind.
What's coming up
Back to London! Our DOT PROJECT Part 1 team day next week, and I am VERY excited to be around the table drinking coffee with everyone again.
We designed our agenda, and then we totally redesigned our agenda.
We redesigned our agenda because we need to discover new ways to develop a hybrid model for DOT PROJECT to ensure we are deeply conscious of the working styles we choose. Time in person is to be deeply cherished. We want to find ways to use the time in person to be in ways we can't replicate online, and a part 2 day for discussions that are equally comfortable online.
I'll be going straight from London to a wonderful midweek Tech4Good South West Summer Walk & Talk exploring footpaths betwixt #bath #bristol. All are welcome whatever your affiliation to the concept of #techforgood, or if you actually just want a superb excuse to leave your desk for just a few hours.. ???
Until next week!
Great to see you twice in 2 days Annie Legge - as the last time was over 2 years ago. And glad you enjoyed our #BeMoreDigital conference.
