Full Circle Moment!

I remember growing up, captivated by the colourful and exciting ads that lit up the screens. Brands radiated energy, creativity, and originality - things that always made me think, “What would it be like to create this kind of magic?” Fast forward, I find myself living that very dream- only now, I’m not just watching from the side-lines. I’m part of the magic, and let me tell you, it’s everything I ever imagined and more.

I’ve had the privilege of working on some truly rewarding projects, like the Mara Gin launch. Traveling down to the Maasai Mara for the launch was an adventure in itself. We had an incredible team - the AO team, the models, mixologists and a team of talented photographers and videographers who all helped make this vision come to life.

I also got the opportunity to train the Maasai Mara Women In the Wild on social media marketing - this was even more rewarding! I was lucky to get the chance to interact with them, know their work, visit their village and families! Was adopted & even got a new name - Nashipae. They became My Community.

Oooh! And did I forget to mention that I also fell in love....... with the Mara?

One other memorable project I've had the honour of working on together with our incredible team - is our "Remarkable, Not Remakable" campaign for our KO Cider range. From start to finish, this wasn’t just a job - it was a passion project.

Let's talk about production planning magic...Before we even got to the shoot, the prep work was exhilarating. Models? Check. Location? Locked. Makeup team, props, schedules - all the gears that make the magic happen were carefully pieced together and the very talented content manager Michelle Njeri Ngarama was at the centre of it all working with me to ensure this all happened as per plan.

Our shoots took us from studios to vibrant outdoor gardens, and lively bar settings that brought KO Ciders essence to life. The vibrancy of the locations matched the energy of the Kenyan Originals brand - bold, colourful, and full of life.

But it's not just about logistics. There’s an art to balancing all the moving parts, ensuring every shot is delivered within schedule, yet leaving room for spontaneous moments - the heart of any fun, creative project.

It was about championing originality and the true authenticity of a brand that believes in being as bold and youthful as the people who love it. Every shoot, every detail, captured the essence of what we were trying to create - a brand that’s remarkable.
