Full Circle Gratitude: What is a Sponsored Wrapping Event?!

Full Circle Home is fortunate to work with over 1,000 loyal and enthusiastic volunteers annually! We have companies who tell us that they want to work with us next year, even as we are packing up the gifts from the current year.

L3Harris has been a supporter for 10 years in multiple locations. M&T Bank, DelMonte Hotel Group, Morgan Stanley and National Defense Industrial Association have all hosted Sponsored Wrapping Events for years. Margot Elena donates two FULL days of Christmas (2500 gifts) and we travel to Colorado to prepare them. Luca+Danni designed our special bangle. We travel to RI to package them up. Newer to the lineup, but no less committed are Palmer Foods, Micro Instruments, Bioworks, CentraFinancial and Ernst&Young. It usually just takes just one Sponsored Wrapping Event to add a company to the ongoing line up! And as we reach out to more troops, we need more such events that support our mission in a full circle way - funding and effort!

Being one of Santa's elves isn't a bad gig!

So what exactly is a Sponsored Wrapping Event?! There are NO special skills needed! If you can tie a knot, you're in, and to date, we have not fired anyone for poor production skills!

A company invites us in for a 2 hour Wrap, as we call it. All we need are tables and volunteers - we bring in everything that's needed. The company underwrites a portion of the boxes and we get to work, running it in an assembly line fashion: boxes are opened and lined up shoulder to shoulder like soldiers in formation. Shred is dropped in, then the products... and on. A group of 25-30 can easily prepare 600 - 800 gifts. The record for a larger group is 2,500 in 2.5 hours. (We work with slightly competitive groups!) We give the sponsoring groups a short presentation of what we do, how we do it and how they are making a difference and many other questions are answered as we work side by side. After it's all done, each volunteer will know that at the holiday, they will have touched and made the holiday a little sweeter for hundreds and hundreds of military families. What a wonderful way to show appreciation!

We have space for 3-4 more Sponsored Wrapping Events this year! This is a team building effort that sustains people! How does your organization show its appreciation?
