Full blown CNN journalistic malpractice, i.e. Tapper refused to fact Check Trump lies, plus Biden' age tinged responses obscure that Trump LIED.

I am going to write a counter poise to the almost hysterical reaction I have been reading by Pundits whom have all but tonight anointed Trump the allegedly inevitable 2024 POTUS victory. I.e. why Vote, since of course...

A. Yes Trump was cogent with snappy replies. When one has lies which compress complicated trends into almost Slogans which resonate with MAGA

First was the CANARD that NANCY PELOSI admitted that she deliberately withheld 10,000 National Guard troops from the Capital January 6, 2021. I listened to this canard being repeated by Trump THREE TIMES

Guess what, why didn't JAKE TAPPER challenge it? NOPE'

Next was the verbal Diarrhea of the mouth moment when Trump DENIED having sex with Stormy DANELS. When one has 34 FELONY count conviction counts over THAT one, you would think that JAKE TAPPER would counter it.

CRICKETS

Also, as to the honor roll of LIES, there was the WHOPPER that JOE BIDEN destroyed the US border security willfully over unrestricted immigration.

NON WITHSTANDING A federal executive order, cutting border crossing by 40%, there was that little pesky fact that Trump demanded the FREEDOM caucus sabotage a border security bill, agreed to by the SENATE, so HE, TRUMP could campaign on it,.

B. Lets get to the real deal. When Trump made the canard, that HE DID NOT call in France, in a monument for dead USA soldiers of WORLD WAR I , veterans who died in world war I, LOSERS and SUCKERS.

C. OH, and lets get back to TRUMP declaiming who has lost respect for the USA. I.e. this rant repeated ad infinitum . I.e. IT may be true of RUSSIA and NORTH KOREA. I.e. PUTIN and KIM JONG UN are Trumps special buddies

D. TAPPER did not bring up that Trump is a convicted felon. FINALLY, BIDEN DID IT. This was one of the few times TRUMP did not try to contest it. That would be a bridge too far

I did not think that the debate format, from what I know of Jake Tapper would work, but normalizing TRUMP by refusing any fact checking is JOURNALISTIC malpractice

A garbage can debate and an eternal shame on CNN and JAKE TAPPER
