Fu*k! This is Why I Fear Facebook...

Question for you- would you hand on heart, say yes to a government or a corporation installing a camera and a microphone in your home?

Would you allow your family to be tracked via their location settings?

If you've watched the Great Hack you know that moving forward, if we don't start to act, we are complicit in aiding tech companies to amass unruly power by giving up our data. If you haven't seen the Great Hack click here.

So, I decided to download by data from Facebook to see what information they had on me and what they were potentially are looking to mine. I was shocked!

If you want to have a look at your data click here but here's a list of everything I've uncovered.

1. They have the equivalent of 500,000 word documents on me.
2. They store information every time I log in to Facebook, where I logged in from, what time, and from what device. (interesting as I forgot about some of my travels until I saw some of the IPAddress locations that I checked in from).
3. They store all the applications I’ve ever had connected to my Facebook account, so they can guess I’m interested in politics, been single a few times, I'm a bit lazy getting taxis all the time, have a bad diet and no idea how 'beauty plus' ended up on my phone, honest.
4. Facebook actually really can also tell when I was single because of the installation of dating apps and that I got a new phone in February, that I subsequently broke.
5. The data they collect includes tracking where you are, what applications you have installed, when you use them, what you use them for.
6. Read this carefully- they have access to your webcam and microphone at any time, your contacts, your emails, your calendar, your call history, the messages you send and receive, the files you download, the games you play, your photos and videos, your music, your search history, your (porn) browsing history.
7. They collect your facial recognition data.

8. If you use android they have all your calls and sms you have sent and received. Yes they stopped doing this after 2015 but still, who wants a company like Facebook storing all this data?
