Fugue In A For Organ By Thomas R. Schadl
Thomas Schadl
Organist and Music Director at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church In Newmarket, Ontario
I based my fugue on Hindemith’s (1895-1963) last movement of his Sonata II for organ. The main difference between my work and his is that Hindemith’s fugue is played quicker. Like the ending of the last movement of the Sonata II, my piece ends quietly. Organists with a few years of training to those with many years of organ-playing experience may like to perform the Fugue In A for recital use and for other occasions. Enjoy this piece.
