Fuentes Friday Edition #0001
Hi Friends,
Thank you for tuning into the first edition of Fuentes Fridays. I get lots of questions and requests from my network for tips around business, sales, health, personal development, and everything in between. This newsletter felt like the best way to keep my network up to date on all those topics, with some personal anecdotes sprinkled in. Feel free to unsubscribe if you want to miss out on the fun, and please, please give me your honest feedback on how I can make this better and more valuable to you.
Here is your end-of-the-week insight into what I see going on in the business world, what I’m thinking about, and what I’m learning about. Forward anything that you feel inspired to share.
What I’m Hearing From Sales Leaders/Professionals
Lately, most of my strategy sessions with AEs and CEOs alike have revolved around asking better questions. It seems that many people are good at asking the first question, but are struggling with what to do once they have received an answer. I suggest that they work on one question for two straight days. They should try to figure out multiple ways to ask the same question, and then work through three additional layers of questions based on likely answers.
What Made Me Laugh
I love reading funny tweets from other parents. It makes me realize I am not alone (Full Article):
This Week’s 40/20
For every 40 hours of work, I believe you should spend 20 (additional) hours mastering your craft. This is how I spent some of my 20 hours this week.
The Greatest Night in Pop – This Netflix documentary gave me chills! I loved MJ (Michael Jackson) growing up and loved “We Are the World.” It was incredible to see how all of these great artists came together and how such an iconic song was put together like a last-minute science project!!! Genius really is something special.

Potpourri for 800
In Jeopardy!, potpourri is a category that covers a variety of topics. For Fuentes Fridays, it’s a category where I may cover anything from someone interesting I met to my favorite new restaurant. Whether or not it's related to sales, my hope is that it will bring you value.
One of the things I am focused on is increasing my hip mobility. I want to be able to walk when I am older! Here is a?video with some simple exercises.
Quote for My Son?
Every day, I give my son a quote to help him learn and not repeat the same mistakes I made in my youth. This was my favorite from this past week:
“You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.” – Michael Jordan

8 个月Hi Will I really enjoyed the first edition of the newsletter. I especially liked your take on how to answer questions. Also, I hope you're saving your linkedin "stories" in an organized way, they are gold and would provide great material to include in a book.
