Fuel Price hits a record high 2310 Kyat/Litre

Fuel prices in Myanmar hit the new record high on Friday, 12th of August. Fuel prices rise in an alarming rate of 500 Kyat/Liter in 4 days. Both 92 Ron and Diesel rates in Yangon, goes higher than the estimated rate despite the global crude oil hits the record low since March. There have been numerous reports of shortage of fuel in several cities in Shan and Kachin States. 92 Ron price goes up 210 Kyat/Litre in merely 24 hours. This staggering increase in the rate of fuel price has impacted daily commodities prices across the country.
