FuckUpNights Vol VII - the SPACES edition

FuckUp Nights Rotterdam is back again. This time we bring a change of scenery! Vol. VII will take place at our brand new partner location Spaces Hofplein (wicked!!). But first things first: FuckUpNights is about heroes that dare to take the stage and share their failures. MEET THE HEROES...

Say hello to Philippe Raets ! He is the 'endboss' of the Rotterdam Municipality (no really, he is..he is the boss of Rotterdam, next to mr. Aboutaleb). That means he is pretty much the biggest employer of Rotterdam. He is also responsible for all public matters such as the city's real estate, mobility, healthcare, education, sustainability, oh and of course one of the largest ports in the world, just to name a few. So, with those responsibilities and 600.000+ people (and dito opinions), 170 nationalities, an army of civil servants (give or take 11.000)...what could possible go wrong? 

Remember that time that we fucked up: we announced that Jasper Scholte from the Fast Forward Dance Parade would be there? But we forgot brief the man himself on time? Well, he forgave us (jeeh) and he will join us on April 20th in Spaces (double jeeh)! Jasper Scholte (and his company JMR Produkties) is responsible for Rotterdams most iconic events in the last three decades i.e. De Nacht van de Kaap, the National Fireworks. Jasper will share his epic story about the Fast Forward Dance Parade! So all you ravers out there: get your tickets now, because with Jasper on stage it is party time. 

Meet Gijsbregt Brouwer, he is your go-to-guy when it comes down to sports, food and lifestyle in Rotterdam. Gijsbregt also likes to co-found businesses: De Buik van Rotterdam and Tyrsday being two of them. But that's not all...no no. Gijsbregt also knows how to fuck up. In fact, this one time in his role as a sportsmarketeer he actually lived the serial-fuckup life for one (potentially) major client, ending in the worst meeting of his life. He will tell you all about it on April 20th ;-).

Meet 'Rollercoaster' Robert, our fourth hero of Vol. VII. The 'Rollercoaster' is not because he lived trough some ups and downs (too easy...). No, because it has been a road that took him everywhere....and back. Robert Kessing basically was a designer that transformed into internet-enterpreneur, then back to designing for Philips, became a father, went bankrupt, endured a merger and his creative death (own words)....after all that he did al of the above all over again. Today he is a more balanced entrepreneur with a private life. Hence, 'the rollercoaster'....
