Welcome to this virtual event organized by Prof. Christian Bleiholder and Dr. Fanny Liu of the Bleiholder Lab at Florida State University!

Research in the Bleiholder Laboratory focuses on the study of structure and function of proteins and their assemblies. One major area of interest to their group is the biochemistry of the so-called “glycan shield” formed by viral spike glycoproteins.

In pursuing this goal, they develop tandem-trapped ion mobility spectrometry/mass spectrometry instrumentation, novel computational approaches to elucidate protein structures from ion mobility data, and apply these methods to study human diseases.
