FrontRunner Pathways: Helping Non Profits
You might recall my focus on deploying students in university strategic courses to help non profit organizations.
During the spring students helped the following non profits:
1) A national homeless shelter develop a risk framework and action plan to better manage their risks.
2) A community event support group develop a plan to become a non profit.
3) A dog rescue organization develop a plan to raise awareness and find more volunteers in the community.
During the summer of this year, students have started work on developing plans for the following non profits:
1) A sports association: Develop a program for providing sports equipment to schools in need of equipment.
2) An organization that connects teen girls with senior women living in retirement homes: Analyse how to replicate a successful recent social media campaign conducted by said organization such that they can conduct future successful campaigns.
3) An organization that creates events for women to learn wellness: Develop a promotion and volunteer recruitment plan.
4) A circus-like community organization that promotes inclusion, diversity and empathy: Develop a marketing plan.
Great job, James!

3 年James, not surprised to see you make the learning practical! I loved your classes and work with a mental health charity in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. If this is something you do again, I'd love to partner with a student if anyone has interest in that direction.
