FRONT END DESIGNER

REMOTE PERM ROLE MUST BE UK BASED ONLY

Our client , a technology company working with a range of different clients, now has an opening for a Front End Designer ( UI/UX Design) , who can code in html/scss.

This position is due to growth and will be a very exciting challenge in a remote agile environment , working alongside other designers , developers , product owners etc.

The client has a range of internal workflow challenges which requires introduction to tech to help companies improve their way of working and therefore, the successful candidate will need to be very customer focused in order to get under the skin of the client to be able to make recommendations and introduce solutions to them.

Our client is looking for someone very curious and passionate about perfecting skills along with learning new ones. They want someone who wants to get involved , who will get up and speak, debate , add value and ideas. The ideal person will be good at understanding their clients needs .

REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years Front End Design expertise with strong UI and UX skills , alongside being able to code in html/scss

Passionate for creating amazing UX and solving complex problems with elegant solutions

A good understanding of code and be able to collaborate with the developers 

Any designing for React / Vue development would be a bonus!

Able to help play a role in product ownership, roadmapping and working with the senior team to decide on product priorities as well as facilitating design sprints and user testing sessions

Able to design for both native mobile and responsive web

Experience within an agile development environment including daily stand ups and sprint planning 

Team player

Strong communication skills

Expert prototyping skills 

Working in design sprints which work perfectly within a remote friendly process

To be able to make design decisions driven by data

To be able to justify design decisions , based on qualitative and quantitative data

Experience of being creative with code and obsessive over design detail

Using your favourite design tools to create beautiful User Interfaces

A natural problem solver - which can be resolved with creative innovative solutions putting the user first

Confident in running user testing sessions to validate design decisions and the UX 

Exp of breaking down business requirements into measurable and implementable user stories

To be able to successfully deliver on multiple projects - some high priority and still be able to adapt to changing business priorities

Self motivated 

Able to work to deadlines

Attend monthly team meetings in Uk aswell as quarterly company meetings
